Education

MSc2 — Water, Air, Pollution and Energy (WAPE), École Poytechnique Graduate School, in partnership with Université Pierre et Marie Curie (UPMC) and ENSTA Paris, France

Diplôme d'Ingénieur (Engineer Diploma, MSc & BSc equivalent) — with specialization in Physical Oceanography and Marine Engineering, ENSTA Paris Palaiseau, France

Classe Préparatoire aux Grandes Écoles d'Ingénieurs (CPGE) — Lycée du Parc, Lyon, France

My Research Interests

During this PhD, I will use 1D and 3D numerical, physics-ice-biogeochemical models to explore extremes and variabilities of biogeochemical properties, and their physical drivers, focusing on the Arctic, North Atlantic and North Pacific Oceans. The 1D model is the hydrodynamical model GOTM, to which I plugged the biogeochemical model PISCES. The 3D model, called 3Oceans, uses the NEMO-LIM-PISCES model to represent the three afore-mentioned oceans. In order to properly parametrize some processes of interest, we will rely on mooring and profiler observations, recovered from the Beaufort Gyre.

Other Interests

Sailing, whether it be in competition or in cruising. I also like hiking and camping, travelling, cooking good old french recipes, playing the piano, and during the long winter nights, reading an old classic novel while listening to good auld celtic music.
