My Research Interests

In general, my research interests center around the physical and biogeochemical dynamics of the ocean, with a particular focus on oceanic eddies and their influence on the biogechemistry.

Previously, I worked mostly on the Indian Ocean, focusing on:

1) The variability of the primary productivity in the Seychelles-Chagos Thermocline Ridge using a coupled NEMO-PISCES data.

2) Investigating the physical drivers of the South-East Madagascar Bloom through observational and a coupled ROMS-PISCES model data.

3) Investigating surface and subsurface eddies along the South Indian Ocean Eddies (SIDDIES) Corridor using observational data.

My interests then shifted to the North Atlantic Ocean, focusing on the physical mechanisms driving eddy genesis in the Mauritanian Upwelling Region, using the Modular Ocean Model (MOM).

Currently, I am exploring the nutrient and carbon budgets in the Labrador Sea, by quantifying horizontal and vertical transports, and mean- and eddy-driven advection, using coupled a biophysical model.
