Education

My Research Interests

My primary areas of interest are biological and chemical oceanography, as well as climate change. I spent my bachelor’s degree studying the natural changes in alkalinity in the Amazon River Plume, and my master’s degree was focused on examining the impact of Ocean Alkalinity Enhancement on phytoplankton cultures. Currently, as the Ocean Alk-Align project coordinator I am assisting the PIs on the project with administrative tasks in addition to occasional helping with field work.

Other Interests

In my spare time and days off I like to explore Nova Scotia with friends, whether that be small trips around Halifax or drives to hikes on the South Shore. On days where the weather isn’t quite so nice, I like to listen to my vinyl collection, which ranges from original pressings from the 1970s to the newest releases, or to read any book I can get my hands on.
