My Research
Modelling
The focal point of my PhD research is the development a coupled hydrodynamic-biogeochemical ecosystem model for bivalve aquaculture.
For this, I use the Regional Ocean Modeling System (ROMS), which is a state-of-the-art numerical
ocean model for coastal applications, and also one of the main modelling systems used in our group.
In the animation below, there are 2 simulations of the ROMS-coupled ecosystem model for a fjord in Nova Scotia with mussel aquaculture (plotted variable is phytoplankton-nitrogen).
